Yellow beast

I have a yellow '04 999 (because yellow is a lighter colour than red, I'm told it's faster). Have added a bunch of CF parts; clutch cover, exhaust cover, exhaust protector, key guard, airtube covers, hugger, front sprocket cover, heel guards, mono seat unit (built myself), Termi full system and ecu, black forged Marchesini wheels, biposto / monoposto interchangability, aftermarket billet fuel cap, billet preload adjusters and many hours of tlc.

Had BMW R1100S, '05 R1, '01 R6, KTM 640 adventure and Kwaka ZX7RR, but sold all and kept T9. The best bike I've ever had and the first Ducati I've ever liked enought to want to own. I am, like all of us I imagine here on this part of the forum, am exceptions to the rule that says the 999 is ugly. This bastard child is the one that swung me away from the Jap IL4's and gave me a dose of culture. Luv it, cannot bring myself to sell her. Rather I'll just ask her to share the garage with some of her cousins, 696, 848 and a Hyper to keep her company.

Oh yes, I build my son a Ducati Mono49 as a replica of my T9.

PS. Sorry for the long post

999 Track (sometimes street) Bike

This was my 04' 999 that I raced in last year Master's Class at BRC in the Philippines.

I sold it 4 days ago to make room in the garage for my RR

I²S is my company from Ct. USA. www.i2s.com Not really a sponsor but more for my colleagues attention.

Upgrades; Full Termigoni, Rizoma rear-sets, Ohlins rear and steering, CRG roll-a-click, carbon fairings. Woodcraft clip ons.

Ducati Performance - Slipper, Clutch Master, Chain guard, light flywheel. what else...?

The 04 engine threw a belt which resulted in front cylinder detonation. I switched to a 2006 engine (and swingarm) from a wrecked bike.

Dunlop Ntec 211's - Best road - race tire you can buy for the track!

Thx.

Its a '05 bought brand new in '06 with 999r wheels, mpl tuning slipper, termis, chip and such. I've put over 8000 miles on it so far. To me the 999 design is just amazing and the build quality is unmatched. I've had zero problems so far, touch wood.

Ditto on the (Zero Problems), I still think that the 749/999 bikes are the Sexier of all Ducati's ....

Personally, I don't think it's even close. 999 is miles ahead of xxx8 series in everything. I love to the see the jaws drop when I'm out for a ride.
