New Bike and Mods planned

I just picked up my base red yesterday and thinking about a few mods:
- side bracket license plate
- CF rear cover
- CF instrument panel
- Exhaust: any recomendations besides Termi?

Congrats, so far I think Termi is the only option for exhaust.

I think Akra is the only other that close to coming out. If you just want a slip on the Werkes looks really good, it's not on their site yet. There's a picture on this thread, http://www.diavel-forum.com/index.ph...n/page__st__60.

First of all, i would recommend for you to get teh "aluminum grips". although not the most exciting modification. It will make your bike feel more special everyt ime you twist the throttle. The twist grips are machined from a whole block and you will be impressed my its built and cratsmanship

By dos_lirio at 2011-04-11

another cheap modification but gives a dramatic clean impact is the frame plugs. you won't beleive how clean your bike will look once you've installed the plugs. my poor photography skills does not do justice to the frame plugs . If you are into carbon fiber , adding the carbon fiber cam covers is a real eye candy when installed to your bike. it is also shown in this photo

to make your bike look sleeker and "meaner" add the roadster windshield

By dos_lirio at 2011-05-23 it will not do squat for wind protection but it will make your bike look better

Now termi's will make not only make your bike roar, you will also get the chance to show off your massive wheel which was once covered by the stock exhaust

I thought about those grips before I picked my bike up, never seen them on the bike, maybe a little too Harley'ish. I'm now looking at Rizoma's Sport Line grips, as well as another $2600 in Rizoma parts!

Yeah, because spending $3200 on a full system which still drags in the corners is a fantastic investment.

No thanks. I'll wait for Arrow or Leo Vince to come out with a full titanium exhaust which doesn't hang so damn low.

Seems to handle Palomar Mountain Road just fine. If the pegs and header were up even another 1/2" I'd probably easily keep up with the superbikes on that road. Have you ridden a Diavel yet? It accelerates, transitions, and brakes as well as a Superbike, so this is definitely not a simple cruiser. Also kind of amusing hearing stories of guys on Diavels passing superbikes on the track. TC + ABS + massive low-end torque = WIN. The only major limitation we're running into is the limited lean angle on the right side with the stock header hanging down.

I went a bit faster than that on the downhill, but my battery cut out. Not going to go at a squid's pace until I get those adjustable Rizoma rearsets and a more tucked-up header. Hoping Arrow or Leo Vince do their homework and tuck the collector up at least a half inch over the termi full system.

Everytime I've been in ACH I was the fasting thing up there, even when I was riding with kuhlka. ducati darius, if you were in SoCal I could tell you where to test ride; Pro Italia in Glendale has a demo and supposedly is going to start renting it!

Yeah, we definitely weren't getting passed at all. Could have gone faster if I wasn't concerned about scraping. Hope that guy who collided with the car is alright.

DucPond has a demo I'm thinking about playing with. Just for shits; I'm not buying one.... Even if it was the best ever it still looks like a bag of ass to me.

To each their own. I think the original Multistrada was uglier than hell, not to mention the 999!
