IRC BLIPPER Ducati

Hi all,
Looking at the IRC Blipper for monster 1200s 2016 but yet hadn’t seen anything on here for it. More on healtech if anything.

Is IRC Happy going up and down, all gears, issues?

So does anyone have IRC? Thoughts? Reviews?

I have one. Works fantastic on my 1200S MY 2014. And yes: Up- and downshift. About 90 minutes for the installation.

Question for the Blipper, did you have to buy any “EXTRA” parts for the install? As looking to install it in next 2 weeks.

I have both an after-market QS on the Monster 1200 and a factory QS with down blip-per on the Multi. Consequently, I'm hoping you guys will consider my opinion as completely unbiased. Although I'm very satisfied with the Annitori QS on the Monster I've contacted them to inquire about a future down blip-per. They replied that it's not going to happen as it's too complex (thus expensive) to design one that will accommodate the different ECU algorithms out there. Since they're after-market service is impeccable and I have no reason to question that statement.

Notwithstanding, I never use the down feature available on the Multistrada as you must completely close the throttle for it to engage. I just find it faster to stay on the gas while rev-matching and using a quick pull on the clutch.

Hey DarR, I get what you saying in parts and for me it’s based on buying the bike it had most mods to it and there were 2 things I wanted from the 2017 model that I don’t have on 2016. But the $4k difference wasn’t worth it. QS and corner ABS.

For IRC QS THEIR BLURB with "Strain Gauge Sensor" Technology allows for Full Throttle Clutchless Up & Down Shifting. MotoGP certified by Magneti Marelli state-of-the-art load cell sensor. And auto Blip for both. The IRC Components ELECTRONIC quick-shifter has a major advantage over other units in the market because it dynamically considers the RPM and Acceleration to modify the Cut Time ("T") and Pulses Power Progressively eliminating gear box shock which is helpful during cornering or braking to prevent upsetting the chassis that can lead to a loss of traction or change in the bikes trajectory (this means you can up-shift or down-shift while cornering). The intelligent controller of the IRC quick-shifter is directly connected to the load cell; signal handling is extremely precise and controlled.

Although my issue now it mechanic had no idea about set up as no one has it in AUSTRALIA pretty much and so they hadn’t set it up properly and in 1st the settings are too sensitive so when it hits rough road it auto blips. So imagine in 1st and it blips out of nowhere. It’s hold on for your life as she kicks!!!
