First Oil Change

I completely forgot about the first oil change. Having too much fun to be responsible to think about these things. Someone told me it was at 500 miles and sure enough the light came on. So I'm more like 750 now and if I don't get my but into gear who knows how far I'll keep riding without it.

The manual says "must be changed by a Ducati Dealer", but nothing about voiding the warranty as some in the past did. It seems straight forward to me, drain oil fill oil. Dealer wants 90 for kit or 160 to do it. Have any of you guys attempted this yet on your own?

Always wise to do the first oil change at the dealer in case there is some warranty issue after... You are already late, though. Hopefully that won't work against you.
Also, have you considered how you would be turning off the service indicator?
Tchase and Aussie_Bob like this.

Cut a piece of black electrical tape over the TFT display would let me forget about it

Take it to the dealer for the first service.
They had to drill out the 4 bolts holding on the filter plate on my 1098TC.

The OEM bolts are made of chocolate.
