Monster 797 Rizoma drag bar install help!

Hey friends,

I'm having trouble with the Rizoma drag bar/risers install on my Monster 797.

Rizoma items:

29mm conical drag bar
42mm handlebar risers

Question:

How is the display screen supported once I remove the stock handlebar clamp bottom plate? The clamp's bottom plate extends to the base of the display screen where it is mounted. Once the risers are installed the display screen won't be propped up on anything.

What piece am I missing here?

Please help!

T

I'm starting to think the Monster 797 is the ONLY monster that cannot mount rizoma risers and drag bar due to the fact that the factory handlebar clamp holds the instrument panel.

Yep it's not compatible.

You can either buy Renthal Superbike bars and send the rizoma bars and risers back or fabricate a mount.

These parts you've got are designed to fit 821/1200's where the screen is mounted to the heatlight assembly.

Sorry

My 2019 821 has the same integrated mount so I just made a new mount out of aluminum and painted it. I wasn’t about to send $300 worth of Rizoma stuff back to the vendor.

Hi, do you mind posting some closer pictures of your mount? I have a 2018 821 with the same problem.
