You should not need to repaint it. There should be at least 2-4 mills (mm) of clear coat over the base. Just buff it, if you don't know what your doing don't try it. You'll burn the paint.

Yeah, me too. It's never once stalled but I did takevit in for the steering head being loose. It's normal though...not one problem since my dealer tightened it up.
