Troyduc,

Here's a pic of one of my 907ies. Upgrades include: Corbin seat, Euro Taillight Assembly, slip-on exhaust cans w/ eprom chip and K&N race airfilter, worked engine, (high compression pistons, larger valves, and degreed cams), fender eliminator kit, aftermarket clutch, and Marchesini mag rims.

Brett,

You're the man! That's what I'm talking about! Qualify?!! Damn, if this is a contest, then you just won, hands down. Show's over. Nobody need bother posting another pic of their classic. In the face of your pic, I'm ready to pull down my 907ie pic. I feel silly now!

That is one gorgeous bike! How long have you had it? How about some details? What is that? A '67 250? Or a 175, maybe?

Well done!

Elton

I have to be honest, not very comfortable. You are in more of an extreme "Jockey Position" (know what I mean?) than the Sport1000 or a 999 or 1098, and I wouldn't want to do 100 miles straight on one. I have always liked the cafe-racer look and when this came out I had to have it. It's a pleasure to me just to look at it.

But it is a hoot to ride quickly for 20 or 30 miles of twisties, and it is sure to get you comments if you stop next to someone at a light. And those pipes are loud enough that you want to sift a little too *soon* just to get a little more growl from them. I've noticed more than any other bike I've owned that you really have to make sure the tire pressure is high enough, otherwise it does not want to turn. But I have a small electric pump so I check the pressure every two weeks or so.

I wear a flip-up helmet and the one I had when I bought this had too small of a cut out for the face shield so that when I was on the bike I could not quite see out from under the top rim. I was twisting my head sideways. I had to buy a new helmet, a Shuberth, with a larger cutout which works OK now.

You should definately ride one before buying, but I really like the bike and am happy I got one.

I appreciate your honesty! The reason why I asked is because I'm going into the dealer tomorrow to close a deal on the Sport Classic 1000, but I'm stuck between it and the HM. I test rode them both and LOVE both of'm. I'm 42,and I have slight back problems so, that could be an issue later down the road. I love the look of the classic, but the HM is very comfortable to ride. I'm basically a weekend occasional twisty rider.

Decisions, decisions...

Good luck.

You're embarrassing me for a number of reasons.
In an effort to encourage some action on this side of the board I posted up those pics believing that it didn't really qualify as a sport classic, but it's a 'sport' & a 'classic' so I thought it at least it wouldn't get howled out of the room in disgust. I almost deleted it after I posted, thinking such things.
Sorry to mislead and disappoint as well, for alas, I don't own it either
Just spotted it one day somewhere and 'siphoned' them from the web. Sorry guys!

brett,

A great bike pic is always welcomed here. I have a buddy who collects old Ducati singles and he's got some great stuff in his garage, but nothing quite that exquisite.

That tank is beautiful. I wish that were my bike!

Do you know exactly what it is?

Elton
