XDiavel termignoni mod

Hi all,
I just installed the new termignoni kit onto my XDiavel and wow ! What a significant difference it has made to the sound, it actually sounds like a Ducati now
I haven't had it re- mapped yet, will hopefully get this done later on this week and Hopelfuly notice some power gains. (Engine light is on at the momment).

I decided I wanted a little more of a roar from the Termi system so I went ahead and removed the DB killers, I straight away noticed another huge difference. however, I did find it to be TOO loud, With a horrible hollow drone, especially at idle.

Sooo The next step was to try and modify the original DB killers in an effort to find a happy medium -- fisrt I tried drilling out holes into the inner tubes - I didn't notice much of a difference here. My next step was to try cut out the inner tube at the weld, just leaving behind the outer "bolt on" sleeve. This has worked out perfect for me, it just takes away that annoying hollow drone whilst still retaining that renound L twin Ducati sound

I've attached a few photos of this mod so you can see what i started with and done as I couldn't find much help on this topic to begin with myself.

Nice! The Termi's are a must in my opinion. What a great bike!

I was going to sell my 1098 as well, but so glad I didn't ?

I do need to add termis as well and may consider this same mod ?

I'm looking to possibly add an X to my roster with my 848, such badass bikes.

Just keeping an eye on the current issues, I do wish Austin Racing made an exhaust for the X. Sounds lovely

The baffles soften up after a few hundred km so I'd take the dB killers out. Did a dealer fit your Termi's?
If so then they load a new map that you get when you buy the exhaust as well as a performance filter. There is no point running it on the dyno as both the standard map and performance map are locked so all you will get is the bikes current power and torque curves.
If you fitted the exhaust yourself and the map was not loaded then take it off your bike would be running like a dog so pull them off and fit the standard back on or buy a power commander and filter trot down to a dyno works mechanic and have them fit and Dyno. Another alternative is Tuneboy but nothing is out yet and it's for advanced users otherwise if you get stuck half way through you are screwed.

There is not a performance air filter that comes with the Xdiavel Termi.
