hello guys. i've got a ducati 749 (2004)and it will backfire at 8000 rpm. you must go to the next gear before 8000 rpm or it will back fire. the bike will not go more than 8500rpm.
i got this bike one year ago with this problem. it looks like the bike was sitting for a while .
the bike runs good but it is hard to start and it will not hold idle at all. you have to rev the engine for 1500 rpm so it won't shut off.
please HELP!!!:BoomSmilie_anim::BoomSmilie_anim:

- Put in Iridium spark plugs
- synchronize the air bleeds
- check the valves
- normally back fire ocurs when theres to much air and lean fuel mixture, see if you can adjust the fuel/air mixture and richen it. Put it at about 5% co

Good luck
