Yep, the SSSA monsters use the same 4 pin wheel from the superbike hub.
Yea, those 3 spokes are boat anchors, the 5 spokes aren't much better unfortunately. I ran 3 spoke magnesium's and they were MUCH lighter then the 5 spoke cast wheels from the later gen superbikes/monsters. If you want a light wheel, ya gotta go with forged and thats hard to find for cheap money.
If you are changing just for the weight savings, I don't think it is worth it unless you get the wheels for very little. Usually the cost / benefit is not that much.
You can get new front OZ Forged aluminum wheel for about $700. The rears a little more.
The OZ forged aluminum weigh less than 3 spoke magnesium wheels and about the same as 5 spoke magnesium wheels - much lighter than the cast 5 spoke aluminum wheels - and a huge difference in overall performance from the 3 spoke OEM wheels.
