MCN performed it's annual test of the '08 Japanese liter bikes on the track and on the road.

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/videos/2008/february/feb070820081000ccgrouptest/

The claimed to match the winner up with the current Ducati 1098. I hate to be the one to say it, but I think it will be a bit dissapointing... the honda will absollutely get around the track quicker, and will likely be the better bike on the street. Of course, we all know it takes passion to build bike that performs worse than the less expensive alternatives....something the Japanese bikes will never have!

Of course the Ducati wins bar-none in the looks department...so nobody has to worry about looking bad, literally.

It is pending about the magazin, the tester and bla bla bla. I have read so many tests and always come up many times different as people write about it. I still love my 1098 doesn't metter what poeple would say about it. The technic grows and changes so anyhow others will update it and also Ducati with their newer bikes. Ducati is still a Italian/European bike.

some mag's i have read the testers got the fastest times on the 1098 and thought it was super comfortabel and hands down the winner. other mag's i read they just hated everything about the 1098. it just like franken said, it depends on the mag and testers etc. no matter what jap bikes are a dime a dozen. i bought a ducati because the race history, build quality, passion, sound, just the look and feel of the bike. i must say tho, im not a fan of the fire blades new style. but i like where they are going with the lack of 10,000 stickers all over the place.

I don't know, they list the Honda as costing 8898 pounds. that's over 17000. i paid less than that for My 1098.
I've always riden Hondas as a Rice Burner, the Duc is just another world. This is why the guys with the Jap bikes are always chasing that 2 more Hp. This year it looks like the Honda, last year it was the Yamaha probably Suzuki the year before. With all this the Duc is still Bike of the year.
Who's left looking like a fool?:shitfan:
