I'm now the proud owner of a new 1098S tricolore (1st Duc) and am delighted with it's performance and beauty. The one thing that stands out on this bike is that uglier than crap stock clutch cover. Why in the world would they put this ugly abortion on such an otherwise beautiful bike? So...I'll probably join y'all in doing another cover and PP, etc.
But...since this is my first dry clutch, I'm wondering about having the PP, discs, etc exposed. Specifically, what happens in the rain if water gets in there and especially when the bike is washed. Slipping, grunge, etc. Any special care needed?
Also, while doing this change, I'm thinking about a slipper clutch. Any comments?
Fill me in.
Thanks,
Doug
