Hi Guys

Here is my situation. I just installed a set of HID Ballasts off from Ebay (truly plug and Play) at first when installed everything was perfect for 2-3 startups. Now neither wont start when switch is turned on or bikes motor is running. The only way they both fire up is by holding pressed the pass on button, if high beam button is in the on position the both lights will flicker or fire when pass on switch is trickled, if the high beam switch is in the off position , only high beam will light up when emulating this procedure. Now my parking lights are not working , so as my left front mirror signal. Dash is Ok (lights up) lights are ok , haven't checked fuses but if they light up when executing this procedure there is power , so no use. Can anyone help me sort this out? I've read people reversing polarity on the low beam, I don't know this seams like a house of ghosts in this bike. Here is to say I'm running a gear indicator as well connected to the rear plug in the trunk of the bike, disconnected it and nothing changed, Please help me out.

God Bless

I just plugged the Ballast plug #1 into the factory plug 2 to the new HID light and the other 2 just plug into each other, this was sold to me as a plug and play and it was, The box had a 1098 in it! , I think this unit even had the polarity reverse like some people suggest to do with other not dedicated systems.

JMHO, but I have read about so many people having electrical problems after fitting HID's I don't think they are worth it. As I said JMHO, throw them away.
I've heard this too, but from my experience (which is quite narrow) I have had zero problems with my electrics, and I've had mine fitted for 4 years. That may be because I didn't cheap out on eBay ballasts...

Man today I replaced headlight relay and it's still blowing fuses! !!I read somewhere that is the high beam blue light in dash did not light up with engaging the switch it itself could be fried/burned and this could be causing the fuses to blow up!!Opened the whole thing and it was perfect!Dam I'm so frustrated with this , tomorrow I'm going in a long ride , might have to tape the dam thing on my why back to get back home!!I have to have a short somewhere, the mechanic here told me to check the low beam plug thoroughly as if on of the 3 rubber rings in there for some reason moved to the back of the plug could create a false contact, I do not know what the hell that means,I will check it under sunlight tomorrow as I couldn't see anything in the garage. My lights only work with the pass on button, I have to have a common short as I read this has happened to many other people.

I just dismantled the Left control unit in the handlebar to see if there were any damages/shorts/burn smell and nothing since my high beam indicator lights only lights up in the dash when pressing the pass button ,I chased all the cables going out of there and nothing seems burnt or had a burnt smell ,I chased all cables down to the ECU , found out some cables were pinched , I released all tie-wraps and saw there were no damages , when ahead and installed a new fuse and bang again!!I'm almost at the point of having an external switch mounted , straight from the battery to have lights at night!!
