Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site, and to Ducati. I want to buy a 1098. But, I have a problem with my knee...I had a torn meniscus and surgery, and it is painful for me to bend my right knee to use the footpegs and brake on the bike. Does anyone know if the footpeg and brake can be put lower on the bike, maybe three inches lower? If so, who would sell such a system? I know I won't be able to lean the bike as much, but I won't be racing anyway, and I am willing to give up some of the cornering capability if I can ride the 1098.
Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your knee problems. Having had some knee problems myself, I can tell you one thing... Ducati's and "knee problems" don't go well together...

You can go with aftermarket rearsets which may help a bit, but as far I know, you may only be able to get 1"-2" MAX of adjustment in terms of drop them down. You can however, have a machine shop in your area, custom fab you spacer brackets that will be tailored to your exact needs, but keep in mind, the lower you go, the more likely they'll rub or scrape in serious lean conditions.

I can be done, but "out of the box" I don't think there's a set of rearsets that will go down as much as 3"...
