looking for some advice on brake pads.
have taken my 1199 S in twice now to my local dealership to get my brakes looked at. my front brakes have been annoying the hell outta me. everytime I stop they let loose an unbearable squeal or squeak. its driving me nuts, two visits and my dealer hasn't fixed a damn thing! so ive decided to look into aftermarket pads and replace them myself. looking for ideas for a high performance after market brake pad.
thanks

Go with the "HH" version. Great compound, good feel too.

What was the dealer's synopsis?
dealer said they didn't hear anything when they tested it on two diff occasions. haven't been real impressed with the local dealership, but very limited on choices where I live.

also do you have any more info on the HH pads you recommended? who makes them or idea of where I could order them from?
Yea, do you have Google in Canada? LOL!!

Hate when that happens, such a disappointment.

The EBC's seem to popular -
in the case of the brembo's is the material on the pats but i will thing that your previous bike was a jap bike with nissin brakes. is normal is the brakes pats compound. even on cars high preformance brakes are made to stop.
The squeal with brembo pads and the m50 caliper on the 1199 is normal. Nothing is wrong with your brakes.
If you don't like it, change to EBC HH sintered pads. I did (last brake change) and am actually liking the bite. It bites quicker than brembo pads on initial braking, and makes the soft humming (zzzz zzzz zzz) sound that makes the braking feeling great.
But beware, it does not feel as good as brembo pads in the wet. In fact when starting to squeeze the brakes in the wet it is actually quite crappy in my opinion, until it dries/heats up a bit from friction then it acts like normal.

EBC is a lot cheaper too!
