Full-float brake rotor buttons for your 1098. Six buttons on each side=12 total. I don't get how that will reduce the unsprung weigh by "...over 0.5 pound". OK, what am I missing?

I think what they're saying makes sense, if you read the whole paragraph. I don't think they would make statements like that if it weren't accurate. Then again, I'm no expert on the subject.

I don't think they would mislead either. Maybe someone could explain it to me:

"Free floating brake buttons will allow you to convert semi floating rotors into full floating rotors. Free floating rotors reduce the drag from the pads which in turn reduces the heat build up in the rotors and the heat transfer to the fluid. These free floating buttons will allow the bike to roll easier and reduce the unsprung rotating weight by over .5 pound."

maybe once the mass is rotating the centrifigal forces adds "G's" to the buttons multiplying thier weight to the .5lb
