That's a close call man. Glad it was nothing serious and you and the bike made almost perfect. I got rear ended today in my truck by a young lady. Not sure how fast she was going but the bed to my tundra is buckled over the tires and there is no gap between the bed and the cab anymore.
This is the reason why I never stop directly behind any vehicle of any kind. In this case; exiting a parking lot onto a main road. I would have simply scooted up in front of the pack of waiting vehicles, found the next hole and disappeared. Yea, I know the laws state you shouldn't do that, but this is about your safety. Most people who pilot cages are stupid, so its far better to be in front of them, then trust they won't do something stupid like put it in reverse and back right into you.
