2001 900 SuperSport ie tacho issues.

Just fired the bike up fron its winter hibernation only to find the tacho has decided to stop working.
All dash lights etc are OK, now wondering where the fault could possibly be.
Any ideas from those with experience in these matters?
Looks like a fairly lengthy operation to pull the fairing etc apart!
