Help. '08 multistrada 1100s Two weeks ago, riding down interstate at 75mph, on bike for 40 minutes, and the bike shuts off as if I hit the kill switch. Sat for an hour, cranked up and went about a quarter of a mile and did it again. Towed it home. (This also happened a week prior but started right up and ran fine). Long story, replaced the fuel filter and it ran like never before. Took it out on second ride, ( 20 minutes ) and it did it again. Any ideas? Tips? tricks? Are old error codes stored? Can I take it to a dealer and get it read? Even though whatever is wrong intermittent / random. Thank you in advance.

I got no replies however i found the problem. RPM sensor.

So what was the problem? I own a 2007 1100s. Never happened to me but would like to know.

I spoke to soon. It just happened again. Diagnostics at Ducati said RPM sensor. I replaced and ran fine for two days and just did it again
