After trying my Google-Fu and coming up dry, I figured I better start a new thread. Is it the same as the 2011 model. I'm going to buy the Corse Dynamics, but I just wanted to double check before I do because the last year that it lists as being compatible with the EVO is 2011.

Scoots,

There's a couple of ways to confirm what you're looking for:

Visit Ducati of Omaha's website by clicking here: Ducati Omaha 15025 Industrial Road Omaha, NE 68144; once there go to their 'Online Store,' then click on the 'Ducati OEM Parts' link--you can go to the two different models you want to compare and see if the part # is the same.

An alternative is to visit this website: DesmoDuck Part Fiche you can simply enter the part # (89320062A in this case), and you will see a cross-referenced list of all bikes that use this part.

You will not find the bolt size there, but I looked in my 09 848's manual and it is M12 X 1.5; and as Dutch mentioned above, all 848 models (and many other Ducatis) use the same bolt size.

Also, as a side note, if you go with the CD drain plug, do not over torque it; I believe that one is supposed to be torqued to 14 NM vs. 20 NM for the stock one. The walls of the bolt head are very thin and fragile (in my opinion), and I saw at least one person here who experienced the magnet coming loose. I am switching to the Sato Racing oil drain plug, which has a much better/thicker bolt head, again my opinion (see attached picture).

Whichever way you go, good luck.

Great, I assumed as much. I had used the parts diagram to find the part # and entered it on a site, but neither the diagram nor the site displayed the actual size. They just said "OEM Drain Plug". Anyways, back to the point, thanks for the new bookmarks and the info about the Sato plug.
