I had not ridden for a few weeks (just a few weeks, not months) and had left a trickle charger on. The battery shows 12.9 V.

When I first put the key in, the self check went normally. I hit the starter and everything went dark except the blinking anti theft light. Now there is no response at all, not sound or light.

All the fuses, including the 30 A on the other side of the battery, look good.

Any ideas?

A battery that reads full can still be dead...read the voltage when trying to kick it over...it's likely kaput

This issue seems to be happening more frequently lately. Batteries test fine with no load, but with any load applied they drop to almost no voltage.

That was it. A new battery and she’s running again.

They do make it excessively hard to replace, especially since it needs to be done so often.
