It should be around $800 after parts and taxes but I've heard as much as $1100 depending on the dealership.

Straight from Ducati NA:

600 mile service - $144.38
7500 mile service - $ 256.88
15000 mile service - $ 362.20
After 7500 mile Valve service ("Service A") - $ 294.80
After 15000 mile Valve service ("Service B") - $366.30

*Note that these Ducati numbers are labor, not tax, and I'm not sure if it included parts, probably not.

$250 for parts and labor.

Granted I did have my cams replaced under warranty at around 6500 miles and I did the oil change myself. They inspected the timing belt and said it did not need adjustment. They also inspected the entire bike and found a missing upper fairing stay bolt (that explained the vibration on the windscreen!) and a missing exhaust spring. They replaced the bolt and spring and reset the ECU.

Please read this:

According to the article (and Ducati North America), shop charges including parts AND labor but not taxes:

600 mile service - $144.38
7500 mile service - $ 256.88
15000 mile service - $ 362.20
After 7500 mile Valve service ("Service A") - $ 294.80
After 15000 mile Valve service ("Service B") - $366.30

Why people are paying $800 or $1100 is beyond me. I guess they have money to blow.

I asked my dealer about it.. I was told a set price of 650$ but most likely I'll do the oil myself and maybe even remove the fairings to drop that down some..

It's 6hrs labor @ $90 or so plus parts. I will be doing my 15,000 mile service so I can aquaint myself with the desmo valve system. Changing the cam belts is simple. Only unknown is how many if any shims you need for the valves. I didn't need any at 7500 miles so hopefully it is the same.

What all is included in that 7500 service -$ 256.88?

How much was it at GP?

looks like everything but the valve adjustment

I hate that damn chart, most people see the first 3 and don't read the last two

7500 mile service - $ 256.88
15000 mile service - $ 362.20

Oh ok, so it's 2 parts. I thought it was $256.88 for the 7500 mile service and it went up to $294 if you were above 7500 miles.

Call and find out.
Ah, thought you got it done already.

I paid $250 for what was done (listed above). I had already done the oil change. Call and get a quote.
I was just there a couple weeks ago for the recalls! I like GP and they were good peeps. I'll do what you did and change the oil my self and just roll there street fighter style to have the valves checked.

Got this quote today from Pro Italia. Much better than my MV's 7,500 service which was about $1,100!

The 7500 mile service for the 1098 is 5 hours plus parts (oil, filter, drain plug washer) - about $600 total. This includes changing the engine oil and filter, adjusting the valves, chain clean adjust and lube, critical fastener check and torque as needed, check brake operation and condition, tire pressure adjust, test ride afterwards. www.proitalia.com
