Hi all. Just looking for some information.

I'm building a 996 race bike from scratch. I have quite a few parts already, but I also need quite a few.

Can anyone tell me whether the fuel pump assembly from an ST4 is the same as the 916/996 type?

What about the front forks - are they the same fully adjustable Showas?

Front Brake brake callipers - are they the same as well?

Thanks for your help.

If you can believe it, there really aren't very many parts outside of engine bits which are identical. The Superbike fork/shock are pretty different internally, so even if they look the same on the outside, they aren't inside. The old style 2 pad calipers are the same, but I wouldn't dare use those. The 4 pad/pot Brembo calipers of the later generation machines bolt up perfectly to those older forks and are far better. Plus the ST4 doesn't have floating rotors either, which in my view is a critical element for a track bike.

Personally, I'd be raiding someone's 748R for parts. That bike has all the right stuff on it AND people have been parting them like mad recently because they aren't worth much as complete bikes.

Don't know about the fuel pump. I can't remember what it looks like! :(
