Can the throttle cables be change by just removing the rad or is removing the throttle bodys the only method?

You will need to loosen the radiator and the battery try to bet better acces to them... Loose the throttle tube cables first then trace them to the left side under the air of. They are just over the battery tray.

I adjusted mine with just the side fairings off. The benefit of having all the right tools... although I could have spent just as much going to med school and paid someone else to fix my bike.
