Anyone install bar end plugs? What inside diameter did you go with?

I have these ones. You have to trim the rubber hose that comes with it a little. But look great.

May sound like a dumb qn, but do they actually do anything? I thought it was a stability thing, but then why use light weight ally?

Hell yeah... The dermal ones with protect the bars and help to protect the levers.

The inside diameter of the bars is smaller on the 848. The 1098 ones don't fit.

I.D. seems to be 13 or 14mm but my cheap ruler is not very accurate. The oberon bar ends i'm looking at have very specific I.D. tolerances.
