Had my 848 put through a dyno break-in by a local performance shop. The graph has a comparison of a stock '08 600rr that was run on the same day (green).

These numbers are damn close to what my RC put down, but now I've got 70 fewer pounds to contend with.

Yeah, that engine is a stonker, I think we're going to see a lot of the Japanese 600 crowd converting. BTW, a full race exhaust system should flatten out that 5k dip and increase your peak power, you'd probably be looking at damn near 130hp at the wheel.

Yep, I'll be looking to do something to flatten out the curve. Way too big a dip in there for my tastes.

Sorry for the nub question...

I assume you got charged for the dyno break in? If so, how much?
No problem. Really depends on the shop and their rates, but I've seen them go for between $100 to around $200. Well worth it IMO.

Hey That chart looks familiar! :)

We hope to see our first one for race use within 2 weeks :D :D
Can't wait to see this build!

This is the shop I get my work done at (A++ :D). They are building an 848 for competition in our local racing club's (OMRRA) 600 superbike class. Should show us what the 848 is capable of when pushed to the limits.
