I am planning to renew the steering stem bearings on my 09 848 (for the first time ever), with Corse Dynamic tapered bearings from Motowheels; for those of you who have completed this project, what's the best way to support the front of the bike? I have the Pitbull front stand (like the one in the pic below), that raises the front of the bike under the triple. Obviously, this stand will not work for this project...

Thanks in advance for your input!

Thanks Dutch... I have a Pitbull rear stand as well; so you're talking about a regular floor jack like the one below that I snipped from 'Jason's 848' build at European Cycle Services, correct?

I assume (some times I hate to assume things), that as long as I'm using a rear stand, this would remain stable enough to finish the job, right?
