Going to race this next year.



I ordered the bike with the following;

Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber Front Fender
Ducati Performance Reverse quick shifter
Ducati Performance DDA+ GPS Lap Timer Kit
Ducati Racing articulated lever kit

Rearsets from a Austin Racing supplier ( On Order )

I am going with Mupo suspension and have ordered the rear shock, front cartridge kit and Steering damper.

Still haven't made up my mind on Fairings.
I have had good experience with CRUCIATA and CRC.

Paul, try Armor Bodies for the fairings. Good quality and cheaper than most. Or Sharkskinz if you want excellent quality, but they're a bit more expensive.

And yes, Jarel's track 899 is pretty awesome now!

Racers Edge in Windsor do a quality job. Dearer than Chinese but perfect fit and easy to paint.
I contacted them and they have just completed making the moulds for the Pani. Should have a price in the next few days.

Just get the CRC,s again . The fit is perfect .

They are dearer but mine are 18months old and look like OEM. Mate has Chinese at half the price, chipped and cracked in a few spots but still look good from a distance of 2m

Horses for courses.

I know it would be a bit of heft to ship to Aus, but if I could through my hat in the ring, I have carbon fiberglass bodywork that is about the same price as the fiberglass only bodywork. These are 1098 bodywork pics, but I can have the Pani bits made.

I went with the CRC as I have a few spares from a 1199.

Also ordered,
1199 flat-rate rear suspension linkage
Carbon key guard
TechSpec Tank Grip Kit
Pit-Bull Swingarm Spools Not (use to ordering these for a Ducati )

First Full race week end on the bike and I absolutely love it.
Had a issue with breaking in the first race and was told to change this and that from a few people and good old X27 had a chat with me and he worked out it was a rider problem. I was being too aggressive on the brakes ( just grabbing a big handful ) and unsettling it. Went slower in the next race as I got used to trying to ease them on settle the bike then applying more pressure. Bike went well and was great under breaking. Next 2 races managed to cut nearly 1 second off my times and give me a PB for the track.

Paul, would you say this was due to learning the bike or the track better ? ..
