Hi guys, I was wondering if there is a number or letter in the VIN of a 996 sps that would prove that it is an original foggy, or would I need to contact Ducati? I am looking at buying one that I am told is an original factory foggy, but I have my doubts. The stickers don’t match any foggy I have seen.

The VIN will be different for a 996 and a 996SPS, but the 996SPS and 996SPS Foggy coding will be the same. Only Ducati can tell you from the VIN if the bike was originally built as a Foggy spec.

Contact Ducati for sure, I don't know what the price is but that is a very rare bike. If its cheap, its too good to be true!!
