You can bet some government wont change and do it just to stop and harass bikers

It only removes the fitment of the ADR required extension on the OE guard and it only applies to newly delivered bikes.
I'm tipping if anyone gets done for an older bike and goes to court, it'd get thrown own considering the government have realised and admitted there is no benefit to the 45 degree rule.

Either way, state laws are over ruled by Federal, so they have to tow the line and adopt the change.

although has anyone ever been booked for filtering??, I've heard of people being booked for the mudguard thing (one PI trip come to mind) but not filtering, if it's not being policed I'm not so bothered about it.

will be very interesting to see how they police this, depending on the cop you get you might get off or get issued with a ticket. Ive been pulled over many times due to fender eliminator but have managed to talk my way out of a ticket but they are getting worse and worse.
Hopefully this helps to settle things but who knows.
