The going rate for a standard is 14,995.00 USD. How much extra did the dealer hit you for? Crate cost? Handling fees? Proceeing fees? etc...

I put my deposit of 500.00 down last night at the bikes debut. Im throwing cash for the rest.

Put down my deposit at the local Open House this weekend.
No dealer markup.
California Tax about $1,200 + license charges about $500 + shipping/handling about $500.

$19995 Cdn no freight no PDI just Tax

That goes to show you, each dealer has different sale goals. I spoke to a gentlemen @ erico motorports who said that they are basically not going to drop the price or wave any sort of additional charges. The reason being, the bike is in to high of demand. He did offer to work with me by throwing in "extras". Some leathers would be nice, but those are another 1000+ dollars.

I had to give list + $395 freight & dealer prep, $1619.60 AZ sales tax, $399.50 license and title fees...for a total of $22,409.50 out the door for my S model. I figured there was going to be no bargaining at this early stage so I never even asked. I did get a break on the Termis, installed and setup for another $1300 OTD. It may not be the cheapest, but I'm happy with the deal :D

Our 1098 just came in yesterday and the dealer is asking MSRP $14,995, plus freight of $1,299, PDI of $1,399, documentation fee of $55 plus tax and license. And I'm a repeat customer!

Got mine for 19,995 from the dealer plus 300 shipping. As far as tax goes well unless you live in some magical place then everyone pays some sort of tax. Here in MA we pay the 5% sales tax when we register the bike so it has nothing to do with the dealer it just goes straight to the state. So I guess I can say out the door 20,295.
