Hi There!

First time poster here but have been combing through this and the Ducati.ms forums for some time now. I ordered a 1098 from my local dealer and should be getting it at the beginning of June or end of May.

I've been searching for Exhaust options and came accross this website that has pictures of the Akrapovic exhaust. Can't tell you if it's a slip-on or full system though.

Cans look not too bad. Short and stubby. Will be interesting to hear this setup.

Thought I would share.

Hi,

It's a full system. Should be completly titanium, we received ours two weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to get it on the Dyno.
To be honest I prefer the termi carbon cans, but the Akrapovic system is about 2kg lighter.

I'll try and get some photo's posted asap

Does anyone know if they are planning on producing this pipe in an all Carbon Fiber finish! I like the Carbon Fiber exhaust look on the 1098 but I'm not so sure I'm sold on the look of the Akrapovic Cans yet. Termi's do look pretty sweet on the bike!

On thing is for sure there all Carbon Cans (In Their New Muffler Design .pdf Brochure On Their Website) look sweet as hell off the bike!!

Thanks
Marcus

Most of the manufacturers that are producing the carbon pipes for the 1098 have stopped production. Check with your Ducati dealer if Termi is shipping them now.

From what I know, they're all burning up on the dyno. Until this is resolved I think they will not be delivered. Not sure how that affects the carbon Termis already out there.

Kilat --- I just spoke with the Leo Vince reps and their system is full C/F on the outside with Titanium internals. They said no problem with their C/F cans.

Expected delivery is May.
