Here's my quandary
1. I bought a pair of Alpine star Boots at Cycle Gear this year
Details:
S-MX Plus | 2221013 | EN13634:2010 | CE | Q1 2013
2. I lost the toe slider on the right boot.
3. Under the slide it says Slider Type AS O2
I went on motorcycle-superstore.com and ordered the below. Of course they don't fit and are too long.
At the top of the page it states SM X 5 but at the bottom (see below link) it states S-MX
These new sliders have OS on them. I cant find any Alpinestar slides with the designation of “AS O2” which is whats on the boot under the missing slider


Does any know which toe sliders these boots take?

My spare set dosent say anything on the back of the slider. but on the back of the packaging it says "GPTECH/FS/SMX SLIDER

While ur on the topic, how do u get the toe sliders on? Ive got the SMX Plus, had the sliders off and cant get em back on. No matter how hard i pushed the clips just wont go back in, even tried using a lil grease to help ease it in & its still not budging

I would take them but not sure if "TU COL NE" would work My boot actually says "Slider Type AS 02" where the slider was so not sure if what you have would fit. I may have to send Alpinestars an email

To get them on is work. I slide it in the front then put one hand in boot to support and place it on my thigh and push with my palm as hard as I can.

You have the same problem as me. I talked to the guys at sportbiketrackgear and they contacted their europ alpinestar. They don't have them in the states. Do not know why they Sell boots and they don't have sliders for. But, the guys at sportbiketrackgear got them.

The thing that annoys me is the fact that all the web sites I visit don't have the particular slider “type” details as to if they are OS or AS etc.. My sliders clearly state on their backs “AS 02” the new ones state “OS”. So there is a definitive way to identify the “type” needed. I sent Alpinestars an email I'll see if I here back. I really like the magnesium ones. They look cool I wonder if they spark?The thing that annoys me

They don't have the magnesium. Well, when I ordered my AS 02 they didn't have the magnesium. But I heard you shouldn't get them because they scare some people when they drag their toe. Funny thing is that they cost the same as the ones they sell online at any online shop. But ya, ordered my through sportbiketrackgear and they were at my house from somewhere in europ in 7 days.
