Hello All,

I found a 98 ST2 yellow 28,500 miles, very good condition, new battery, 50% tires, and new voltage regulator for $1595 sell price. This seems too good to be true

I already did a search for this question and was unable to find anything in these forums. All articles on the web suggest that 98 ST2 are pretty solid bikes.

Alittle info about me is that I have about 2 years experience on a Harley 2009 nightster 1200, plan to do a cross country trip with this bike, and do no mechanic work myself.

I just wanted your opinion on 98 ST2 and any concerns.

Thanks

Here are some image of the bike:

Great bike decent price for sure.
Get the maintaince history.
Check belts!
The bikes themselves are rock solid. Ssouldent be any issues but cheat on belts and when they were last replaced and adjusted.
Was this bike a rider or has it been sitting for some time?

Yellow is an odd colour for an st2.

Price seems way cheap. Looks like a repaint

Pretty good and solid motors

St2 was desmodue not Quattro.. 944cc two valve water bus.

ST4 996 4valve.

Maybe i misread but thought Shazam said ST2. 450w single

Also the dealer I bought the SS from said... water cooled... one more thing to go wrong.

Go seek out an ST3.. better all round tourer.
