I was thinking of doing a two-day DRE next spring...hopefully in Mugello. The master racing course requires "previous DRE experience", so I was going to do the racing course on Saturday and the Master on Sunday.

Anyone here attend one before? Any gouge?

I was trying to make this a spring "Italy tour" composing the DRE, factory tour and a little sight seeing.

Thanks for any input you might be able to share.

Hornet,

Though I've never been to one I can't imagine anything that would improve one's skills more and faster than a good course like you mention. I am 110% in favor and if I could get out of my shop and off my dead butt I'd do a couple of those courses. By all means go for it.

Thanks Cloud.

I have already decided that I'm going. I was looking more for inputs into the school (I'm an advanced ex-pro looking for something "new") wrt style, language, etc... Kind of a more nuts and bolts this is what we did / did not do and here are some good hints (gouge) that would make the school / trip better, here's what they didn't tell you on the website.

Dre

Hi, take this in the context that I have no idea of your skill level buy it is high. I would be very tempted to do both days the same. Unless you know your way around Mugello then I recon you would get more out of it from building up a relationship with the instructor. By the way the instruction is excelletn and they really push you on, the ris no hanign around, they now the limitations of the bike are probably better than the limitations of the riders.
So If I had the chance I would not miss these courses but I woudl stick top the one type.

Thanks, fellas

Doug,

That's the type of input I was looking for. Will I be at a disadvantage by not speaking Italian?

Anymore gouge would be appreciated. Skill level is "old man pro". I was a pro dirt-track rider in the early '80s, then turned my attention upwards.

Cloud,

Sounds like you have an aviation past with the 200/ 1/2 input.

Thanks to all and keep those thoughts coming.
