Lets list known areas that offer great rides for whatever reason. For example, I am planning on starting in San Jose and traveling south through Big Sur. Great views, winding roads. Bad, some areas are one lane highways and limited areas to gas up.

I'm looking for other areas to ride.

1. San Jose to Big Sur via 101

2. Stockton to South Lake Tahoe via hwy 88

3. San luis obispo to pismo beach via hwy 1.

Go north across the bay. Highway 128 around Lake Berryessa and through Napa Valley. Super twisty roads and not to mention excellent lunch spots in the valley. Also 121 south out of Lake Berryessa towards Napa is another tight road, tons of fun.

I know Highway 2 (called Los Angels Crest Highway) is in southern California, but it is worth the trip.

Hwy 154 out of Santa Barbara to hwy 246 thru the Santa Ynez valley to Lompoc. Back south on hwy1 to the 101 thru Gaviota and back to SB along the coast: 110 miles of heaven
