Auto blipping is a function of the throttle plates opening up to let a bit more mixture into the cylinders very quickly. On most newer bikes, they have stepper motors that control the throttle plates. This allows for that quick throttle plate opening and closing for blipping. However, the Ducati 848 uses a cable throttle, so the electronics can't control anything related to the throttle.

So unfortunately, auto blipping isn't mechanically possible on the 848 in it's OEM configuration.

Ducati did make stepper motors for the race bikes of that era. However, even if you were able to find a stepper motor system, it wouldn't work because the ECU and wiring harness don't have the necessary provisions to make it work. So none of the 848/1098/1198's have the capability of auto blipping. The Panigale uses an entirely different ECU and of course, stepper motor controlled throttle bodies. So it has auto-blipping built-in! :)
