Thanks for that. Nice.

Sure is a mad place.
IOM does not do the motorcycle racing community any favours... it makes hero's out young guys willing to die for 10 seconds of fame. That's not racing!

Of course TV promoters love it, its lunacy on wheels...., they want to see broken people and bikes.:ahhh:

And those who say 'he died doing what he loved' are full of shit.... Tell that to his kids!
I disagree. Most of the racers are not young.

It's all too easy for those of us with neither the money, dedication, determination, skill or courage to criticise. Personally I have the utmost respect and admiration for these guys. They take life to limits most of us never dream of. I'd feel like I had lived half a dozen lifetimes if I lived to 40yo and had spent just half of those years at such a level.

Thanks for the vid Tchase, it was almost poetic to watch.

Wise words from someone who has no children or real responsibilities, other than looking after himself. pretty selfish .....

Most IOM riders hold a day time real jobs, working a normal life. They are not superstars...., but they want to be superstars because of the way this event is promoted as the holy grail of racing.

MotoGP, WSBK etc wont have these guys because they are too dangerous on a race track.....I think it was Barry Sheen who said that!

This statement shows how ignorant you are of my life circumstances. :p But then I have noticed you very rarely have much that's positive or constructive to offer about anything or anybody on this forum. :violin:

How does expressing my admiration of another individuals skill and bravery (which I personally do not have a fraction of) make me selfish?

Sorry, selfish, tight-arse & cunning is more apt. Is that more constructive?

So now we know nobody is gettin' lucky with Jaffa the few days surrounding the 26th.

The island brings people (bikers) together to celebrate what they love doing most of all, while enjoying the most skilled Road Racers from around the world compete in something they love doing. Without the freedom to push ourselves to the limits we are no more than robots.

I love the TT and MPG week, I moved here to be part of it. I work in the control tower during the races and it hurts every time you hear of a fatal. We have all lost friends racing the circuit but we know they left us doing what they love best. Jaffa, the men and women who race know the risks and embrace the them, no one has the right to say no to any ones dream.
