Rebuilding finally the 1995 916R, motors done and set up ready for the swing arm. I have all the original parts ( pin, bushes and spacers ) but cannot get it to work. I’ve got to desperation point and found a full set NOS bushes. They are on the way. Thoughts please
Yeah I know but it’s not even close, swapped the frame and all dimensions are identical. Same casings ......... I can’t work it out. Got a full set of brand new spacers/bushings on the way just on the off chance the originals have grown ;-))
When rebuilding mine. I bolted the front engine bolt to the frame, but leave loose. I then put the swingarm in position at the swingarm pivot. The lowered the rear of the frame down over the swingarm. It did take some fiddling but once it was lined up, no problem.
Used the factory bushes
