Don’t beat it but don’t baby it either. I did not redline my bike before the first service but honestly, after the first 20 miles or so the bike is broke in and more than likely the rings where seated before the bike even left the factory.

Likewise, though I may also have used mineral oil for the first 1500 miles or so rather than the synthetic with which the bike is delivered.Visitor Q said:Looking back I think maybe the only thing I would have done different was change the oil after 100 miles instead of 6.
