Last year at Pro Italia's open house, I saw the bike and talked with the owner a bit. He's a cool dude and it's an immaculate bike. I would have loved to hear it at the track, they make such a racket! Not much a friendly trackday machine! HA! ;)

It's a lot of money to just put a bike on display, but I guess if you have that kind of money you're into showy displays of your wealth. And it's really no different from buying an expensive piece of art that would hang on the wall. I can't imagine having an interactive piece of art like that though, one that you know would change your life to ride, and you're not allowed.

All very interesting. there is no evidence Rossi ever rode this bike. It was however Randy De Puniet's race bike when Rossi got his update before the start of the season. That does not help the narrative and will kill the resale value however.
Fact remains it's RDP's bike, his name is all over the carbon.

@Josema. What do you mean about the GP06? all sold a long time ago.
