yeah there's definitely something wrong there because it shouldn't do that. it's probably just the sensor like zoot said. mine went bad too after a crash, except for it was kind of the other way. It would shut the engine off when I put it in gear even though the kickstand was up.

And what was your solution? I’m in the same situation.

I have a 1198 and my engine cuts off when the kickstand is up also.. this is after I had to lay her down.. I’m curious to know what you did as a solution
