Sorry, no. The fuel injector duration and spark advance specified by the ECU is determined by the throttle position sensor and engine rpm relayed from a crankshaft rotation sensor — along with trim factor voltage levels presented to it from several temperature and pressure sensors. This is done independent of the transmission gear selected.Just a side note to you guys, if your bike don't know what gear your in - the ecu don't give you the proper mapping for whatever gear your actually in !!! It's going to run proper if ya fix the real problem as well !! 🙂
