I'm just looking to switch a few parts on my bike to carbon fiber pieces. I have a few questions about the diferent places I can get it from, quality, best fit, & prices.

1. Who has the better quality?
2. Who has the best fit? (my bet here is DP)
3. Who has the best prices?

Does anyone has a price list for the DP, I already have it for the two other places. Here is what I'm trying to do:

--------------------------Shift-Tech-------Motowheel---------DP
1. Rear Hugger---------------$255-----------$240-------------?
2. Air Vents------------------$135-----------$130-------------?
3. Key Guard-----------------$155-------------?---------------?
4. Sprocket Cover------------$ 93------------$ 90-------------?
5. Gauge Cover---------------$140-----------$140-------------?
6. Front Fender--------------$200-----------$200-------------?
7. V Guard-------------------$240-----------$210-------------?
8. Lower Tank Panel----------$517-----------$465-------------?
9. Air Box Cover--------------$472-----------$429-------------?

Well, that will be it for now, if anyone can help with comments and sugestions please do.

I heard the quality of DP is not as good as Shift-Tech and you are forgetting another big player here as well, eMotoUK.

Both eMoto and Shift-Tech are site sponsers as far as I know, you should support them.

Have you ever taken a close look at the photos on the Shift-Tech and eMoto websites. I'm convinced they are exactly the same products. Have a look for yourselves if you don't believe me.

As that maybe so, eMoto offers some pieces that Shift-Tech does not, atleast at this time.

I've seen and own CF from all three and quality wise this is the order that I would rate the three.

1. Shift-Tech (Great quality and fitment with really good shiny clear coat)
2. DP (Good quality and fit is good and clear coat is ok)
3. Moto Wheels (Good quality and fit is good some pieces ok and clear coat is dull)

You say clear coat for all them but are they really cleared or just gel coated. From what I understand, I don't think any of it comes clear coated but I could be wrong.

I have purchased CF from both eMoto and Shift Tech and can honestly state both items were of very good quality. Price wise, once you factor in exchange rates and shipping, they're about the same (if not a little more for the CF coming from the UK to the US).

The DP stuff on the other hand, which I have also purchased was actually more expensive, but of less quality. The over-all finish of the product was not as good, not as smooth and featured defects within and around the edges of the CF piece.

One other source for excellent carbon fiber parts and accessories is Carbon World in Germany ( www.carbonworld.de ). It's a known fact that some of the best CF in the world comes from Germany (as from my understanding both Shift-Tech and eMoto get their CF from Germany as well, same place or not, I'm not sure).

Company wise, Carbon World, is on the ball when it comes to customer sevice. They ship super fast (I usually get what I ordered from Germany to my door in NY in around 5-7 days). They do not charge the 17% or so VAT (value added tax) for US shipments, and charge a very nominal basic postage rate for all international packages. Product wise, they have excellent stuff! I've purchased numerous parts from them, and have never had one item arrive in less then 110% perfect condition, both in fit and finish.

Here's the CF list on my bike, and where I got each piece. Feel free to view my album for some pics...

CF Key Guard - Shift Tech
CF Rear Hugger - Ducati
CF Rear Tail Cover - Ducati
CF Tank Guard - Carbon World
CF Rear Brake Pump Cover - Carbon World
CF Large Exhaust Guard - Carbon World
CF Small Exhaust Guard - Carbon World
CF Sprocket Cover - Carbon World
CF Rear Tail Vents - Carbon World
CF Rear Butt Pad Cover - Carbon World
CF Under Tank Panels - Moto Wheels
CF Front Fender - Moto Wheels
CF Swing Arm Cover - SF Moto Clinic

Company Locations...
Shift-Tech: USA
Ducati Performance: USA
Carbon World: Germany
Moto Wheels: USA
SF Moto Clinic: Italy

Defenetly not the case, just before wrong thoughts come up.

Either that or he is stating that eMoto and his company does not get their stuff from the same place.

Take the following images in example...

Here you have the Shift-Tech CF key guard on top of the Carbon World tank guard... Fit and finish on both is near perfect. Weave is identical...

In the following image, you have the DP rear hugger with SF Moto Clinic's swing arm cover, and as you can see... the weave is identical as well...

Last but not least, here we have the DP rear tail cover and Carbon World's vents, and once again weave is identical...

Sure you'll have slight variations between manufacturers, but for the most part the weave between all the parts is near or identical to one another...

Well I hope the weave matches with Shift and eMoto otherwise eMoto is going to get my $$$.

BTW... That swing arm cover looks great, however I think I am going to go for the one with the chain piece on it.

Sorry about that, I thought you were refering to that it comes from same place as where Carbonworld get's his from.
Of course it's made in Germany, E-Moto is the dealer for the UK and we are the exclusive importer for the Usa.

Ahhh... Well this is good new. Looks like you guys will be getting some of my $$$. I got a bellypan from eMoto since you did not have it instock but was afraid if I ordered other parts from you that the weave would not match. Now that I know it is the same, I can buy from you as I want to stay consistent.

When will you be stocking the swingarm cover?
