Just received my carbon fiber air runner covers I ordered from Carbon Trader in the UK and I'm quite impressed with what arrived in the mail this afternoon.

Foremost, before I even mention a thing about their products, I want to state that my entire order from the day I placed it to the day it arrived at my door, took only 8 days. Not too shabby for an over sea's shipment!

OK now for the good stuff. Both covers arrived very well packaged, almost too well in double bubble wrapping. It has been my experience that sometimes the attention to the shipment itself says a LOT about a company and their products, specially those that ship from over sea's.

As I unwrapped the air runners, it was clearly evident these were of high pre-preg quality and nothing short of perfect! The surface finish was almost mirror like, with not a single pit, scratch or mark anywhere. The CF weave is perfect through the entire piece, even around all those curves, corners and mounting locations. It also appears to very comparable in size and style (the weave that is) to that of my other CF components on my 1098, so it will match up perfectly. There are no frayed or chipped edges, nor are there any "see-through" issues when held up to a light source. A nice solid piece of CF!

I'm not exactly sure who manufacturers these, but there is a tag inlaid underneath that reads CDT. It's hard to make out what else it says, but it does looks like "Carbon Design ... something ..." I tried a quick search for CDT, but didn't come up with anything pertaining to CF for motorcycles. Maybe someone out here may know of them and can chime in...

Price wise, I paid a hair under $320 shipped (UK to NY). Not cheap, but a REAL bargain considering what others are charging for these pieces! I can't for the love of me find my camera, so I'll post some pics later on this weekend when I do find it...

Ducatyguy,
I also bought pieces from carbon trader, as you i also tried to know wo makes the pieces i find this BUT IS NOT THE SAME http://www.carbon.sk/index.php?cl=carbon_category&iid=8&lng=en
If you notice some pieces of CF MOTOWEELS ar made by the same company http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e...owheels 1098/?action=view&current=1098012.jpg if you look carfuly you can see the same logo.
The carbon trader products are very goog, the carbon finishing is like the carbon on the factory bikes.
But that piece is not exacly as the original one, is smal and have only two mont spots.

DG,

"CDT" is "Carbon Design Technology," a UK based company. Here's a link to their website:

Fast delivery 1 week to OZ.

They sell on ebay as Ducati1shop I'm very sure.
