It's ugly and hides part of my beautiful motor.
Do I remove it and connect the two small lines to vent and plug the larger line that seems to have a check valve to pump or allow filtered gases back to the engine or tank or where ever it goes?
I've done this with my BMW with great success but just want to make sure I don't screw it up with my Ducati.

Went for my 600 mile service (780 ish) and when it was ready like magic my charcoal filter was gone. Imagine that!
I figure it must have fell off?
Oh and a new pair of Ducati gloves to replace my 33 year old pair of cheap plain leather and a cool Ducati red Devisioso (04) hoodie. And the 83 mile ride home was just that much more fun.

I read somewhere of guys modifying the charcoal canister into a sealed container to store items while riding. Any tips on how this might be done? Sounds like a great idea if one where looking to remove the thing from one's bike.

My 1199S was having hot start issues, removed my canister and the problem went away. Google it, theres a few sites that have pictures and how to. Need to pick up a few small parts from the hardware store.
