My 1200 monster has an ugly canister that needs to go.
Can anyone help me understand how to do it.
I'm guessing small tubes get joined and become a vent minus the can. The larger tube coming out of the top and what looks like a checkvalve gets cut and pluged as nothing will be returning to be re burned. On my Beemer I was able to remove that tube completely but this motor is thight and I got no idea were it terminates.
Can you tell me if I got it right?
Thanks

Okay just finished "Visitors Q" thread from 2007 and think I have all my ducks in a row when it comes to removing mine though being still under warranty I'll wait until after my 600 mile breaking service and inquire ( off the record I'm sure) just to make sure there is no voiding of said warranty.
I do plan on capping the hose that y's to the throttle bodies and running the vent from the tank as an open vent hose routed with the others don't really care if it's larger.
If I do it that way I could actually put it back to original if I had to move to California Lol!

:crazyeyesThanks for the info. I've got sometime as I'll do it after my break in service as I would worry about voiding my warrenty and the dealer hinted they could not remove it but with a wink and a Knod that it was there personal recommendation.😉

I did this last night thanks to Visitor Q 's right up. Rode around a little today perfect, no problems. Real easy to do but now my box of stock ducati parts is getting bigger.
