Well today my Desmo is being delivered back to my house after languishing at the dealership in Newport Beach for about 6 months. I was making the unwise decision to sell it, but now I have come to my senses ( with the advice of you guys on this forum) and decided to keep it. It will be delivered some time this afternoon to join her Streetfighter sister and her 4 wheeled Italian cousin. I'll post pics later.

Thank you guys. I took the Desmo out early this morning for a good blast on the freeway keeping the revs over 6k rpm to give it a good run since it has been sitting and to get used to riding it again. I kept mostly to the freeways so as not to experience the intense heat from the exhaust. The temp stayed around 163 degrees F during the ride and got up to about 186 degrees F for the short time that I was in traffic and at the gas station. You guys are right in that no other bike sounds or thrills like this one. It is definitely a keeper to enjoy on weekend blasts. Maybe at some point, I will get the nerve to take it on the track for a very controlled yet spirited run. I will probably try a few track days on my Streetfighter first since I am more comfortable on it.
Your bike looks awesome with the sticker kit. Perhaps I may put them on in the future.
