Well, I thought $150 for an FE was a lot, but I was always told Comp Werks FE's were one of the best and you are paying for the quality... Well I was showing someone the bike yesterday and when i tapped the plated it flopped around... The 2 rivets that held the 2 metal arms together are gone so there is no support it just flops around... I mean its an easy fix with some new rivets, but damn I am disappointed in the quality...Anyone else have this happen?? Evan

i did a write up here when I bought mine and commented that it should have been welded where those lame two pop rivets are. El-Cheapo! Otherwise, a decent kit.

I have a CW FE on my Honda for years, never a problem. Give CW a call, they are great to deal with and I'm sure they will do right by it.

My Comp Werkes FE did the same thing in about a month..re-riveted it... its still holding

i bought a kit i have yet to install. i asked my father in law if he could weld it around the rivet area but he said it may cause it to crack with the rivets on there still. he told me best bet to start would be to flatten the rivets down with a hammer and they wont come apart. not sure if i'll try that or not
