All,

I know that this has been discussed here before, but I thought I would share what I found today.

The motor was rebuilt this summer under warranty and only has around 3,000 miles on it since then. I think that this is a lot of dirt for so few miles. First question is how hard is it to remove the air box because I have to clean this out. Also should I send the pics to the dealer and Ducati for possible future warranty work?

I guess now is a good time to install the K&N filter that I have had for a few months.

I've put 7500 on my stock and just replaced it with a MWR (street) they say you get a better seal(looks like it does).

My stock filter was dirty but to be honest once I blew it out it could go another 3000. But mine looks nothing like yours what I'm saying is it has just as much to do with where you ride as how much.

I was able to get my hands into the air box and wipe down the soot, I even vacuumed while I had access.

I don't think you will get warranty approved but it doesn't hurt to ask.
